Peace is something we all long for, yet it often seems just out of reach. We seek peace in our homes, peace at work, peace in our relationships, and peace within our own hearts. We pursue it through success, security, comfort, and control, hoping that if we can just solve our problems or improve our circumstances, peace will finally follow.
Yet life has a way of reminding us that lasting peace cannot be found in changing circumstances. Conflict arises, challenges come, and uncertainty remains. The peace we desperately desire often feels elusive.
So where can true and lasting peace be found?
The Bible points us to a peace that is far greater than anything this world can offer—a peace that transcends our situations and circumstances. It is a peace that does not depend on everything going our way. It is a peace that is rooted in God Himself.
In this series of articles, Robert Moran will guide us through what Scripture teaches about peace. Together, we will explore peace with God, peace with others, and peace within the church. Along the way, we will discover that biblical peace is not something we can manufacture through our own efforts. It is a supernatural gift from God, made possible through Jesus Christ and empowered by the Holy Spirit.
My prayer is that as you read these reflections, you will experience the kind of peace that is greater than your biggest problems—a peace that guards your heart and mind, a peace that remains steady in the midst of life’s storms, and a peace that surpasses all human understanding
